Good issue! Sadly the last we'll see for now of George VS Dragon... What a shame... :( But that doesn't mean Andy's not got anything coming, next week his new character will appear, Boo! :D So hopefully more laughs!
Best ones this week were Desperate Dan, The Bogies, Pre-Skool Prime Minister, Postman Prat, Jibber and Steve, Doctor Loo and of course... George VS Dragon!
Worst ones this week were Davina McCaw and Nibbles, both making no sense to me whatsoever!
Curious on the Jokes Page... Agent Dog 2 Zero drawn by Jamie Smart, maybe a return for next week, I sure hope so!

  1. I don't think Agent Dog 2 Zero returns next week, or it would've been advertised alongside Boo - Doctor Loo was advertised the week before he returned. However, this does mean we probably haven't seen the last of him. Hopefully Cheryl's Hair is gone for good, I never liked that page.

  2. True, but I sure hope he comes back, he was one of my favourite characters in the Dandy Xtreme! Cheryl's Hair had better be gone... I agree, I never liked it... Hopefully the last of the Sheriff of Dottingham... Nice name but a pointless page...

  3. Aaarrgh! The forum's gone down again! D:

Oh, well, since I'm here, might as well mention: looks as if James was right in his comment last week; Dan did indeed develop a bad case of spots.

  4. Really, all okay for me... It does that sometimes, really annoying! Rose might be joining deviantART by the way! :)

Yes, a VERY bad case of spots! ;)

  5. Not for me, it isn't!

    www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/beanoforum.freeforums.org says it's up.

*ping beanoforum.freeforums.org reports 0% packet loss.

But I've tried two different web browsers and both produced an infinite timeout!

Maybe there's a limit on the number of minutes you're allowed to log on each day?!

You say it does that sometimes for you? Are the symptoms similar to those above? (I was on it quite a lot this morning, reading posts and submitting my drawing. Speaking of the latter, I just submitted it to the Beano using their form on the Dennis character page, which frankly is not easy to find. Let's see if they pay any attention to it.)

Re: spots: I was referring to how this week's and last week's strips were the wrong way round, as the advert two weeks ago showed this week's and the advert last week previewed a strip which appeared on the very same back cover.

  6. I agree with that... I believe you could be right about the limit of minutes... It's exactly the same on mine, I shut down the web browser and then try again a few minutes later, usually does the trick... :)

I must send in my Dennis picture to Beano.com, how do you do it? Do you need Beano V.I.P.?

Yeah I know... Fail much!? Ah well, both strips were great and they still showed both... :)

  7. Yes, you need to be logged in.

There should be a form at the bottom of every so-called 'Doodle' (which is generous IMO). I used the one below the dreaded William Andrews, here:

  8. Sent! Thanks swirlythingy, let's show that William Andrews kid who's actually good at art! ;)

  9. Well, that little clocky thing at the bottom of my comments, while no use for telling the time (since it seems to be assuming we're all Americans), tells me it's now been over an hour since I first complained, and I can confirm that I still have no access to the forum.

It isn't like Beano.com, which occasionally fails to respond, where a quick jab at the Reload button always does the trick. These are prolonged and consistent outages, lasting hours or even days, and apparently entirely local to the Beano Forum and me. Even www.freeforums.org is working fine.

Oh, well - can you at least tell me if you posted something nice on my picture? ;)

  10. Right, when all else fails, turn off the internet for 15 seconds, turn back on, wait, restart computer, hopefully it'll then work...

Yeah, I said it was awesome! ;)
    Love the artwork! Really good!
